Elfinston Corner for Four

The owners of this well maintained and cared for family house are pleased to share this superb property with those who value peace and seclusion in a setting rich in birdlife and wildlife. Accommodation is for four - no children under 12 years. From the house and garden there are lovely open views to Walberswick, the sea, fields and marshes. Local paths to the sea (approx 10 minutes walk) pass the front gate.
To welcome you and to encourage a relaxing stay a bottle of wine will be in the house awaiting your arrival.

Step through the front door to:

DOWNSTAIRS

  • Hall with coat hooks, boot space and large fridge off to one side. Connecting lockable door to the Kitchen of Elfin Cottage.
  • Downstairs WC with handbasin.
  • Kitchen well-equipped, with Classic Rangemaster cooker (both electric and LPG gas, with five hobs, gas oven plus electric oven and grill), butcher's trolley, microwave, Bosch dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gate leg table, cupboards etc., lots of crockery and cutlery. Window overlooking garden.
  • Lounge/Dining Room A large light and airy room. Parquet floor with central carpet, electric fire in feature fireplace, some impressive beams, many framed pictures on the walls and a view over the garden from the window. Plenty of comfortable seating (including two settees), Freeview (Digital) TV, videos, books, side tables and a Baldwin iron-framed upright piano (available for careful guest use) with separate metronome.
  • Dining Area in large square bay with windows on three sides giving views over the garden and to the sea. Separately lit by chandelier.
    Large dining table which easily accommodates seating for six.

UPSTAIRS

Easy stairs up from the Hall with bookshelf and window with views across fields to village and the sea. Off the landing are:

  • Twin Bedroom with polished floorboards. Easily accommodating furniture which includes bedside cabinet between twin beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, seating and mirror. Window overlooking garden path.
  • Bathroom with coloured suite. Window looking out to garden from within thatched roof.
  • Master Bedroom coved, within the thatched roof but a light and spacious relaxing room. Window with views across fields to village and the sea. Double bed with bedside tables, wardrobe, bookcase, seating and other furniture. Glazed double doors to:
  • Sunroom in square bay under the eaves of the thatched roof and with windows on three sides. Peaceful seating area from which to enjoy the superb views over garden, fields, marshes and the sea. An excellent vantage point for birdwatching.

OUTSIDE

  • The property is approached along an unmade road, and then on foot through a garden gate and up a brick path through part of the mature garden. Off road parking for one car is at the garden gate.
  • Large established well cared for garden, which is shared with Elfin Cottage.
  • Table and benches, seats, also swing-seat.
  • From the front gate turn left for paths to the beach (approx 10 minutes) or turn right for Walberswick village with its shop, pubs, village green, village hall, beach and much more. Or by walking along the beach join up the two to make a circular walk.

SERVICES

  • All heat and light included.
  • Constant hot water.
  • Off road parking for one car is at the garden gate.
  • Includes services of a friendly cleaner on Wednesday mornings.
  • All linen (inc. towels and teatowels etc) can be provided at £20 per week
    or bring own linen. NB beach towels are not provided.
  • Available for Short Breaks out of High Season.
  • Elfinston Corner and Elfin Cottage can be let together, to sleep up to six giving exclusive use of this super property.
